Calories

Each meal in a 2,000-calorie-a-day diet would contain about 600-700 calories. Jamba’s fruit smoothies, on average, range from 400-450 calories and are packed with vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phytonutrients from up to 4-6 servings of all-natural fruit and fruit juice. Your body and brain need approximately 1,100-1,200 carbohydrate calories a day.

Carbohydrates

Each Jamba fruit smoothie contains, on average, 100 grams of carbs, which is about 400 calories. So you get 1/3 of the complex and simple carbs you need each day from nutrient-rich fruits and fruit juices. The carbs in Jamba’s fruit smoothies provide the energy your body needs, are full of nutrients, and maintain gastrointestinal integrity and function. You hear it all the time... good carbs, bad carbs. These are the good ones. Use them well!

"5 a Day" - The Jamba Way

Jamba Juice recommends eating a colorful variety of fruits and vegetables to meet your daily requirement of five to nine servings. Our fresh smoothies are the tastiest way to support your healthy lifestyle.

According to the Produce for Better Health Foundation, Americans are eating only 3.6 servings daily and school age children and teenagers are among the many groups not eating the recommended amount. Furthermore, as concerns about obesity, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s and other health issues grow across America and especially in Hawaii, eating the proper amount of fruits and vegetables are critical for disease prevention.

The color in each fruit and vegetable represents a unique combination of vitamins, minerals, fiber and phytochemicals. Red, Green, Yellow/Orange, Blue/Purple and White.

Radiant Reds:

Cherries, strawberries, cranberries, watermelons, and tomatoes

These vibrant fruits and veggies contain lycopene, a powerful antioxidant. Diets rich in lycopene are being studied for their ability to fight heart disease and some cancers. Reds also promote a healthy heart, memory function and a lower risk of some cancers.

The Green Scene:

Limes, kiwifruit, pears, lettuce, spinach, peas and broccoli

Green fruits and veggies contain antioxidant properties and are being studied for their ability to protect your eyes by keeping your retina strong. Greens are also loaded with essential vitamins, minerals, and fibers and promote a lower risk of some cancers, healthy vision, and strong bones and teeth.

Get your green at Jamba: A wheatgrass shot is an excellent source for digestive health.
